TABLING

Thursday, June 24 form 9am – 4pm (looking for 3-4 hour shifts covered) Latinitas is participating in the iChoose conference held yearly.  Latinitas always needs volunteers available to hand out information and assist with one workshop.

WORKSHOP ASSISTANCE

Latinitas will be running a video production workshop for fellow non-profit Con Mi Madres on Saturday, July 17th from 10am to 2pm.  We are looking for assistants interested in helping. No video experience necessary.  Latinitas is also seeking assistants to help us run media workshops at the Girl Scouts headquarters in North Austin mornings or afternoons on Thursdays, July 1, 8,15, 22 and 29.

SUMMER CAMP VOLUNTEERS

Latinitas is hosting three sessions of day camp at Latinitas headquarters starting June 21st. The first, “Hollywood” camp (June 21-25) focuses on filmmaking, producing a talk show, TV show creation, celebrity blogging and show development.  Goaaal! Latinitas Sport Journalism Camp (June 28-July 2) provides opportunities for girls to report on sports, meet sports legends/athletes and produce wellness campaigns. Lastly Latinitas Media Arts Camp is for 4-5th graders and focuses on “everything” Latinitas – web and graphic design, photography, video and radio and more.  We need helpers between 10 and 5 during those weeks for 2-3 hour increments assisting our camp leader.

SNACK DRIVE  

In addition to summer camp activities, Latinitas hosts other programs for teens and after school programs again in the Fall. Any snack donations of granola bars, fruit bars, juice boxes, fruit roll ups, candy anything not immediately perishable is appreciated. Bring to Latinitas’ offices at 1107 S. 8th Street.
