Mirely Salinas is a Volunteer Writer at Latinitas Magazine. She is currently getting her bachelors degree from the University of Texas at Austin in Human Development and a minor in Educational Psychology. Mirely's passion for writing started at a young age, writing FanFiction and other short stories in middle school. Now that she is in college, her love for writing has only grown. Mirely is also a writer for the online magazine HerCampus. In her free time, she likes going on walks with her dog Oliver, trying out new coffee shops in Austin, and reading cheesy romance novels. She hopes to one day work with children, where she can ignite a love of reading and writing within her students just as she carries inside her.
