5 Date Night Ideas for Valentine’s Day

Let the romance flourish this Valentine’s Day as you prepare to celebrate. For those lovely couples out there looking for some cozy date night ideas, we have compiled a few options for you to look over. From more intimate settings to enjoying the arts, think about traditional or innovative ways to celebrate love and romance. For those who prefer to celebrate solo, you can enjoy Valentine’s just as much by indulging in the same activities.

      1. Couple’s Spa Day

What better way to get pampered than a couple’s spa day. Try booking an appointment at your local spa with your hunny and going for a couple’s massage, body wrap, or facial. Valentine’s is the perfect time to partake in some pampering for couples and to unwind from the stressful work week. Adding on a mani or pedi is an extra bonus as well. Either way, surprise your special someone with some relaxation time at the spa and indulge in rejuvenation and comfort.

  1.       Classic Dinner +Movie

You can never go wrong with dinner and a movie. If you’re like me, I prefer staying in and making a delicious home cooked meal from scratch. Some favorites of mine include spaghetti, baked salmon and a side salad, chicken tortilla soup, or picadillo. Adding on a mocktail or some wine will complete your meal while you take in a classic romance film or modern-day rom com. For those who love going out, try a nearby restaurant that both you and your spouse love, or even make it a surprise by making reservations somewhere new you’ve always wanted to try. Afterward, head to your local movie theater to catch the latest romance flick, and end the night with a late-night dessert.

  1.       Afternoon Tea

Delightful and charming, try booking a reservation for some tea time! Most cities serve afternoon tea in hotels or in British themed restaurants. Included with afternoon tea usually consists of lunch options or traditional scones, tea sandwiches, and a variety of pastries. Choose a pot of tea, hot chocolate or fresh orange juice to go along with your lunch. Afternoon tea is a great time to wear that outfit you’ve been holding off on and a beautiful way to celebrate your Valentine.

  1.       Farmer’s Market+Brunch

For a casual date, head to your local farmer’s market. Stroll along the market with your Valentine to look at the fresh flowers, entertainment, and food options. This is a great way to enjoy some fun in a relaxed environment while still keeping the romantic aesthetic. It’s also a great way to support your local farms which is also a plus. Afterward look for a great place to dine in for brunch or dinner, depending on the time of day you attend. Casual and cute, it’s especially a great way to spend a first date.

  1.       Attend a Ballet/Symphony

Engaging and romantic, attending a ballet or symphony is the perfect way to celebrate Valentine’s. You have the option to dress up, engage with the arts, and soak in the romance while you’re at it. Look for local show options to see what may be playing, and be sure to look glamorous for this special date!
